- High-Intensity Resistance Training: Free-weight exercises (like squats and deadlifts) using heavier weights and lower repetitions.
- Moderate-Intensity Resistance Training: Similar free-weight movements performed with moderate weights and higher repetitions.
- Balance and Posture Program: Traditional low-impact routines focused on stability and postural control as an attention control group
- Goal: Determine the safest and most effective exercise intensity to improve bone density and prevent fractures.
- Participants: Adults aged 50 and older with osteopenia or osteoporosis.
- Duration: A 12-month supervised exercise program.
